Surrounded by some incredible natural beauty, Agios Ioannis is the most popular beach on the eastern coast of the Pelion peninsula. It is located 52 kilometers from the regional capital of Volos. This beautiful beach has a stretch of sand that curves around to a rocky formation in the sea. The waters are turquoise blue, and the beach is surrounded by luscious green landscape.

Backed by the little beach resort town, the sandy strip here stretches for over 500 meters long with a harbor to the north end of the beach. There are sunbeds and umbrellas to rent and you can enjoy relaxing on the beach or taking a dip in the clear blue waters of the Aegean.

If you are in search of refreshments the village behind has plenty of tavernas, hotels, and cafes.

This lovely spot in the northern Aegean is delightful a delightful holiday spot where you can lose yourself in the magical beauty of the landscape where turquoise sea meets the green tree-filled hills in a picturesque setting. On the north end of the beach, the small pebbles turn to larger rocks and surround the harbor. There is a very international crowd here in late summer because it is a favorite destination.
