Pigeon Point Beach
Approximately five minutes by road from English Harbour, Pigeon Point Beach has calm shallow waters that make it ideal for splashing about with the kids. Snorkelling is another option, although the sandy bottom means you shouldn’t expect huge numbers of fish.
The sands of Pigeon Point Beach are fine and golden. At low tide, the beach has attractive dimensions, which are diminished slightly with the high tide. The surrounding foliage provides plenty of natural shade, and a couple of simple restaurants provide food and drink.
There is also a small children’s play area, as well as restrooms and public showers looked after by a warden. The play area is free to use, but a small fee of around $1 is paid to make use of the restrooms and showers.
