Playa La Cocina (Montaña Amarilla)
Playa La Cocina is a small, secluded beach on the very southern tip of the little island of La Graciosa. Set beneath the striking volcanic cone of Montaña Amarilla (“Yellow mountain”) its golden sand, crystal-clear waters, and dramatic backdrop make it one of the island’s most scenic and peaceful spots.
The beach is quite sheltered from strong winds, and the shallow waters are often calm making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling. Due to its remote location, it remains uncrowded, offering an escape from Lanzarote’s busier beaches.
Accessible only by foot or boat, visitors can reach Playa La Cocina via a scenic hike from Playa La Francesa, the neighbouring beach, or a boat over from Lanzarote.
There are no facilities, so bringing water and supplies is essential.
