Best Beaches In & Near Sarandë
Set between the clear turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea and the olive groves which cling to the limestone hillsides beyond is Saranda (Sarandë). Often cited as the capital of the Albanian Riviera this long-established resort town occupies prime position on the coast, a mere stone's throw from the Greek island of Corfu.
Saranda sits in a wide bay, fringed with beaches and backed by a promenade. Although these aren't the absolute best beaches on the Riviera they are certainly among the liveliest with a bustling scene both day and night. That said Saranda is a great spot for exploring the nearby coast where you will find some of the very best beaches in Albania.
