10 Best Nude Beaches in Florida

Not many would disagree that Florida's beaches are among the very best in the world. Mile upon mile of powdery white sand, clear turquoise water and year-round sunshine – what's not to like. In fact if you are looking to top up your tan then we can't think of anywhere better. But what if you are looking for an all over sun tan without any unsightly tan-lines?

Blessed with around 800 miles of coastline there are no shortage of great beaches in Florida, however, there are surprisingly few recognized nude beaches in Florida. The good news though is that those that are among the best in the world, in fact Cosmopolitan magazine rated Haulover beach as the no. 2 nudist beach in the World!

The law is something of a gray are on Florida's nude beaches - yes some are officially recognised as clothing-optional – but on others you run the risk of arrest (although this is very unlikely).

If you want to be totally safe and really embrace the au-naturel lifestyle then you could take a "nakation" at one of the more than 35 nude resorts in Florida. Set between Tampa and St. Petersburg, Pasco County has been dubbed the "Nudist Capital of the World". Although many of these resorts are inland and set around lakes it does set a positive precedent for Florida's coast.
