Newlyn Harbour Wall Surf Report Wednesday 10th August 2022

Right-hander off the harbour wall breaking over a rocky bottom. Works on big the south coast swells and is sheltered from the SW winds that go with them.

Doesn’t line up as well as it used to before the coastal defences were added to the rivermouth. Still joins up with the wally inside sometimes.

It gets it’s nickname The Boneyard from the fact that waste from the UK’s largest fishing port was often slung over the wall. There was also a sewage pipe, making it one of the filthiest places imaginable to surf!
